About The Position

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeper I is responsible for general cleaning of the hospital, including entryways, hallways, offices, and turnover of patient rooms. The role maintains premises in a clean and orderly manner and may perform other duties as required. Duties may vary by department or unit.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in hospital housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, patient rooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas, and other areas as needed.
• Clean light fixtures, ceilings, vents, mattresses, furniture, window coverings, floors, and carpets.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sweep.
• Replenish supplies.
• Move furniture, hang draperies, and set up tables and chairs.
• Promote effective teamwork and display professional behavior and a positive attitude.
• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
• Manage hospital resources effectively, including time, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform the professional, clinical, or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
