About The Position

HI-Tofino Hostel / Whalers Guesthouse is looking for 1 full-time housekeeper / front desk clerk to join our family-like team. The position is a combined position and will include housekeeping (60%) as well as front desk tasks (40%). Previous cleaning experience and / or front desk experience (ideally with WRP) is required but we will provide on-the-job training. Requirements

• Previous front desk experience (ideally with WRP) and/or housekeeping experience
• A great eye for detail, and just love for things to be squeaky clean
• Hands-on / can-do attitude and really like to get things done
• A team player who can also work self-directed and independently with minimal supervision
• Basic computer skills (word, excel)

Responsibilities

• Office clerical duties, administration, bookings, reservation, guest relations.
• Adventure Centre sales, general sales, re-stocking, ordering.
• Bike Rentals and returns.
• Cleaning rooms and bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, laundry, and making beds.
• Cleaning kitchen and general facility area and sorting recycling.
• Assisting the Housekeeping Supervisor with supply lists and general reporting on condition of sheets, and towels.
• General cleaning, sweeping, laundry, watering plants, ashtrays, recycling.
• Communicating repairs to maintenance, or other to Housekeeping Supervisor, and General Manager.
• Other duties related to the position in sales, or promotions.
