About The Position
The Housekeeper/Environmental Services Tech performs environmental services duties at Dr Dan C Trigg Memorial Hospital, helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role maintains facility cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and quality in accordance with departmental standards. This is a full-time, non-exempt position on the day shift in Tucumcari, New Mexico.
Requirements
- High school diploma and/or GED.
- Less than one year of experience in institutional housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all areas according to departmental standards.
- Follow proper infection-control procedures when processing linen, trash, and medical waste and when performing cleaning tasks.
- Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the PI Program, Excellence in Action, Competencies, and Presbyterian’s Mission and Vision.
- Maintain and safely use housekeeping equipment.
- Report pertinent information to the supervisor or appropriate authority.
- Perform departmental record keeping.
- Ensure appropriate linen and supply levels.
- Perform floor care.
