About The Position
The Housekeeper/Environmental Services Tech performs environmental services duties at Plains Regional Medical Center, helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The position maintains cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and quality throughout the facility and follows departmental standards and infection control procedures. This is a PRN, non-exempt position on the day shift. Presbyterian Healthcare Services is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system serving New Mexico. It operates nine hospitals, a statewide health plan, and a growing multi-specialty medical group. The organization states that it is committed to improving the health of its communities.
Requirements
- High school diploma and/or GED.
- Less than one year of experience in institutional housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all areas according to departmental standards.
- Follow proper infection control procedures when processing linen, trash, and medical waste, and while performing cleaning tasks.
- Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the PI Program, Excellence in Action, Competencies, and Presbyterian's Mission and Vision.
- Maintain and use housekeeping equipment properly and safely.
- Report pertinent information to the supervisor or appropriate authority.
- Perform departmental record keeping.
- Ensure appropriate linen and supply levels.
- Perform floor care.
