About The Position

We are a warm, close-knit family living on an expansive farmhouse property, including a horse barn. We're a household of three, but our large family lives close by and visits regularly. Life here is fluid and full—between managing work and family commitments, our days shift priorities constantly. We need someone who can help manage our home while we juggle everything else. We're looking for a true partner who can create and maintain household systems that actually work for us, stay flexible when plans change, and bring a proactive, easygoing energy to the team.

Requirements

  • Observant and can walk into a space and see what needs attention without waiting for instruction
  • Able to read the room, understand shifting priorities, and adjust accordingly
  • Has a "no task too big or too small" mentality
  • Great at cleaning, organizing, and inventory management
  • Reliable, easygoing

Responsibilities

  • Household Management & Organization: Daily resets and prep home for cleaners, Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas), Create and/or Maintain household organization systems, Seasonal swaps (décor), Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs, Holiday/guest prep, Indoor plant care, Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc.
  • Deep Cleaning & Special Projects: Occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards), Refresh entryway, Organizational projects (gear, basement, attic), Clean humidifiers/air purifiers
  • Inventory & Errands: Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies, Manage running household supply lists, Grocery shopping, Returns, gift shopping, and miscellaneous errands, Mail and package handling, Breaking down boxes
  • Laundry & Linen Care: Wash, fold, and organize linens only (bedding and towels), Linen rotation throughout the house, Maintain tidy and well-stocked laundry area
  • Pet Care: Walk dogs daily (15-20 minutes, 1x daily), Occasional feeding
  • Vehicle Management: Schedule maintenance, Fueling/cleaning/organizing vehicles, Track registration/insurance
  • Vendor & Property Oversight: Occasionally: research/coordinate repairs and quotes, Manage outdoor spaces, Seasonal property maintenance
  • Administrative & Personal Assistant Support: Awareness of family calendar (including household schedules), Receipt/budget tracking for expenses incurred as house manager, As needed: event and appointment coordination
