About The Position

We're looking for a Household Manager & Family Assistant with a focus on childcare to join our warm, close family. This role is designed for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference in our family's everyday life, creating more time for connection and peace. We are a family with two demanding careers, frequent work travel, and an energetic young daughter. Our home is full of life, laughter, and the beautiful chaos of parenthood. We need support with the constant stream of small tasks that pile up, such as laundry, toy resets, grocery and household supply management, dishes, meal prep, organizing, and errands. While we have support for deep cleaning and outdoor maintenance, we need someone to keep everything connected and provide a steady, dependable presence to make our home feel calm. We seek a trusted partner who enjoys creating order, building systems, and anticipating needs. Your work will enable parents to focus on family life instead of chores, sharing dinner instead of scrambling to prepare it, and spending meaningful time together. The ideal candidate is someone who notices what others miss, takes initiative to manage household tasks, enjoys creating simple and sustainable systems, and finds satisfaction in helping a family breathe easier. You will support various aspects of family life, from laundry and meal preparation to organizing, errands, and providing after-daycare care. You should be comfortable shifting priorities, managing multiple responsibilities, and stepping in wherever your support is most needed. Warmth, patience, and engagement with young children are essential, as is thoughtful communication, respect for privacy, and building trust through consistency and reliability. This is a long-term position where you will be valued for your contributions and the peace of mind you provide.

Requirements

Maintain a smoke-free environment
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Reliable personal transportation and valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Comfortable with a large, friendly dog (approx. 55–60 lbs)
Experience working with young children required
CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to obtain prior to start
Candidates are required to be up to date on recommended vaccinations in line with American Academy of Pediatrics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines (including COVID-19 and flu vaccinations), subject to applicable legal accommodations.

Responsibilities

Provide backup childcare and active supervision
Support evening routines including play, dinner, and bedtime
Handle kid-related errands
Provide date night or late-meeting evening coverage, approximately 1–2 times per month
Perform pick-ups and drop-offs as needed
Create and/or maintain household organization systems
Perform daily resets and prepare home for cleaners
Light tidying including dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas, and toy pick-up
Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
Assist with event/holiday/guest preparation as needed
Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc.
Wash, fold, and put away laundry for the full household
Exercise care with special garments and items that require air drying
Keep the laundry area tidy and well stocked
Monitor household supplies and flag items running low
Perform occasional grocery or supply pickups as needed
Handle mail and packages; break down boxes
Perform as-needed errands such as returns, dry cleaning drop-off/pickup, and gift shopping
Perform periodic deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards)
Refresh high-clutter zones: front and back entryways, dining table
Drain and clean upstairs window AC units regularly
Manage ongoing organizational projects: toy areas, closets, entryways
Maintain awareness of the family calendar to anticipate household needs
Track receipts and expenses for any household purchases
Handle mail and package handling; break down boxes
Light seasonal property maintenance
Manage outdoor spaces
