About The Position

A busy family in Zionsville, Indiana is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented part-time Household & Family Assistant to help keep the home running smoothly. The role is scheduled Monday through Thursday, approximately 12:00 or 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, for 20–25 hours per week, with 20 hours guaranteed. Compensation is $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, and the anticipated start date is as soon as possible. A key part of the position is picking up the family’s teenage daughter from school and driving her to activities in the family’s vehicle. Other core duties include managing family laundry, maintaining tidy and organized common areas, keeping household supplies and belongings in order, and handling occasional errands. The family has a regular cleaning service, so this is not a traditional housekeeping role; the focus is everyday tidying, organization, and household support between cleanings. The ideal candidate is a safe and responsible driver who is conscientious, reliable, comfortable working independently, attentive to household preferences, and respectful of the family’s privacy. The role may include occasional schedule changes and additional household tasks or projects, depending on the week. The family hopes to build a positive, long-term working relationship based on trust and mutual respect. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. Candidates must be able to maintain smoke-free and fragrance-free environments while working in the home and be up to date on recommended vaccinations in line with American Academy of Pediatrics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, including COVID-19 and influenza vaccines, subject to applicable legal accommodations. Strong references are required, and the role requires a background check. Applicants should submit an introductory letter, an updated resume, and three professional references with contact information.
