Requirements
- Non-certified candidates willing to complete CNA training through Willow Valley Communities
- Individuals who are passionate about serving older adults and interested in pursuing a career in healthcare
- Candidates who value teamwork, compassion, hospitality, and relationship-based care
Nice To Haves
- Current CNA Certification
- Experience working with individuals living with dementia
- Background in whole-person wellness
- Knowledge of healthcare principles and person-centered care practices
Responsibilities
- Reinforcing and exercising a person-directed approach to aging.
- Working from a strengths-based perspective to seek moments of joy and embrace the possibilities of a life lived forward.
- Directs others to adopt a habilitative approach to care.
- Providing comfort care to residents living with advanced memory issues that are aligned with the values of autonomy, ownership, and supporting a life lived forward even in its final stages.
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages according to Resident preferences and household menus.
- Assist with personal laundry and maintain clean, comfortable living spaces.
- Help coordinate daily household life and routines alongside fellow Team Members.
- Complete documentation of services and care provided.
- Protect and promote Residents' rights.
- Follow all safety, infection control, and care procedures.
- Safely assist with transfers and mobility according to care plans.
- Participate in ongoing education, competency training, and required in-services.
