About The Position

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Care Partner to provide compassionate, personalized direct care to residents in a memory care community. The role supports residents’ comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence, protecting privacy, and respecting dignity. Care Partners work as part of a team to create a supportive and nurturing environment. The position includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, offering companionship and emotional support, encouraging participation in life enrichment activities, performing light housekeeping, and communicating with healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current caregiver training or certification in accordance with state requirements, such as CNA, GNA, PCA, or DCA, or the willingness and ability to obtain it.
Current First Aid and CPR license, or the ability to obtain them.
At least 12 months of experience in a professional caregiving setting.
Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating residents with dignity and respect.
Attention to detail, physical stamina, and high integrity.
Willingness to participate in a weekend rotation.

Nice To Haves

Experience with memory care; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring as needed, following community protocols, licensing regulations, and safety guidelines.
Promote residents’ independence and provide compassionate care, engagement, companionship, and emotional support.
Encourage and assist residents in participating in life enrichment activity programs.
Perform light housekeeping, including making beds and tidying rooms.
Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
