About The Position

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a Care Partner to provide compassionate, personalized direct care to residents in a memory care community. The role supports residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence, comfort, safety, and well-being, and protecting residents’ privacy and dignity. Care Partners work as part of a team to create a supportive and nurturing environment.

The position includes assisting with personal care, offering emotional support and companionship, encouraging participation in life enrichment activities, completing light housekeeping, and promoting communication among residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current caregiver training or certification per state requirements, such as CNA/GNA/PCA/DCA, or willingness and ability to obtain it.
• Current First Aid and CPR license, or ability to obtain it.
• At least 12 months of experience in a professional caregiving setting.
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset.
• Positive attitude, empathy, patience, and commitment to treating residents with dignity and respect.
• Attention to detail, physical stamina, and high integrity.
• Willingness to participate in weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring, as needed, while following community protocols, licensing regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Promote residents’ independence and provide emotional support through compassionate care, engagement, and companionship.
• Encourage and assist residents to participate in life enrichment activity programs.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, such as making beds and tidying rooms.
• Promote open communication among healthcare professionals, families, residents, and staff.
