House Supervisor - Registered Nurse (RN) Day Shift
About The Position
Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is actively hiring an experienced and compassionate Nurse Supervisor (RN) for the Day Shift. This position is responsible for overseeing daily nursing operations, promoting exceptional patient care, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with all standards. The hospital, named to honor the historical significance of Independence as a starting point for major trails, will serve children and adolescents, adults, and seniors with innovative and evidence-based inpatient behavioral healthcare. The facility is expected to open in the second half of 2026 and will create over 200 new full-time jobs. The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) will provide leadership and clinical oversight for all nursing staff during the assigned shift, ensure safe, therapeutic, and compliant patient care, serve as the on-site administrative representative during non-typical hours, support staff with clinical decision-making, patient assessments, and crisis intervention, and coordinate admissions, discharges, and patient flow as needed.
Requirements
- RN license in good standing (required)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in crisis situations
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred
- Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
Responsibilities
