About The Position

A family of four on the San Francisco Peninsula is seeking a resourceful, proactive House Manager / Personal Assistant to manage household and personal operations. The role is approximately 80% household management and 20% personal assistant support. The position is full-time and long-term, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and some flexibility. The employee will work onsite four days a week and from home one midweek day, and will report primarily to one of the Principals. The House Manager will oversee daily household operations, maintenance, vendors, and repairs; support furniture, art, and interior procurement; and coordinate a two-year project to build a gym and guesthouse on the adjacent lot. The role also involves household organization, maintaining workflows and digital records in Asana and Notion, managing personal events, and providing personal-assistant support as needed. Occasional schedule adjustments, email checks, or responses to urgent household issues may be part of the job, but regular evening and weekend work is not expected. The family values thoughtful systems, quality, discretion, and work done well, and is seeking someone interested in building a lasting relationship with the household. Compensation is a base salary of $160,000 or more, depending on experience. Benefits include a healthcare stipend, access to a retirement plan through CalSavers, 10 days of PTO, five sick days, and seven federal holidays.
