About The Position

We are an active and engaging family of four with two young children, seeking a proactive, highly organized self-starter to support our demanding and hybrid work schedules. Our goal is to maintain family balance and allow us to spend intentional time with our kids, rather than catching up on household tasks. You should be tech-savvy, particularly within the Apple ecosystem, and able to manage household tasks independently, implementing effective systems to keep the home running smoothly. A keen eye for detail, a natural inclination for tidiness, and a calm, welcoming presence are essential. We are looking for someone fun, with a great sense of humor, who enjoys engaging with the family while also knowing when to focus on tasks. You must blend seamlessly into our family dynamic, providing support without needing constant direction, and possess a thoughtful, modern approach to working with children. Punctuality is a must, and you will thrive by taking ownership of responsibilities, anticipating needs, and keeping the house running smoothly while ensuring a warm and inviting home.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Daily after-school childcare coverage including drop-offs and pick-ups for after school activities
  • Prep backpacks, clothing, and snacks
  • Kid related errands
  • Create or maintain organization systems for cabinets, pantry, and general home maintenance
  • Daily resets to prep home for cleaners (weekly on Tuesdays)
  • Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas)
  • Seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding)
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs
  • Event/holiday/guest prep (on occasion)
  • Packing/unpacking for travel
  • Indoor plant care
  • Occasional seasonal projects (e.g., cushion cleaning, outdoor maintenance)
  • Occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards)
  • Refresh garage/mudroom/entryway
  • Clean humidifiers
  • Organizational projects (toys, gear)
  • Receive and organize groceries, restock pantry and fridge
  • Manage running household supply lists
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon/Costco/Target)
  • Returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Mail and package handling
  • Breakdown boxes
  • Prep healthy snacks for the kids and school lunches
  • Comfort with light meal prep (chopping, prepping and cooking)
  • Grocery shopping as needed
  • Kitchen cleanup and organization
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry
  • Linen rotation
  • Ironing/steaming and special garment care
  • Maintain tidy, well-stocked laundry areas
  • Schedule maintenance
  • Fueling/cleaning/organizing vehicles
  • Track registration/insurance
  • Research/coordinate repairs and quotes (on occasion)
  • Seasonal property maintenance - power wash outdoor furniture for the season
  • Manage outdoor spaces
