Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain household organization systems.
  • Perform daily resets and prepare the home for cleaners.
  • Light tidying, including dishes, surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areas.
  • Handle seasonal swaps for clothing, décor, and bedding.
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs.
  • Provide indoor plant care.
  • Undertake organizational projects for areas like gear, pantry, garage, laundry room, and linen closet.
  • Perform occasional deep cleans of the fridge, oven, and baseboards.
  • Refresh garage, mudroom, and entry areas.
  • Collaborate on menu planning.
  • Prep and cook healthy dinners 3-4 nights per week, fully prepared and ready to heat.
  • Prep and wash fresh fruit and healthy snacks.
  • Prepare school lunches.
  • Perform grocery shopping.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanup and maintenance.
  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies.
  • Manage running household supply lists.
  • Handle household orders and subscriptions.
  • Manage returns, dry cleaning, and gift shopping.
  • Handle mail and package processing, sorting, and box breakdown.
  • Wash, fold, and organize laundry, including special garment care.
  • Manage linen rotation.
  • Maintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry area.
  • Perform occasional pick-ups/drop-offs.
  • Schedule vet and grooming appointments for the pet.
  • Oversee cleaners, contractors, and landscapers as needed.
  • Manage outdoor spaces and seasonal property maintenance.
  • Maintain awareness of the family calendar, including household schedules.
  • Track receipts and budget for expenses incurred as house manager.
  • Potentially assist with administrative filing and organizing.
