About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and organized House Manager & Family Assistant to support a busy family of five, including two entrepreneurial parents, three children, and a grandmother. This part-time role (20-25 hours per week) focuses on creating order, maintaining household systems, and providing administrative and meal support. The ideal candidate is naturally proactive, enjoys creating structure, and can independently manage tasks from start to finish. Comfort around children, patience with neurodivergent kids, and a calm, positive attitude are essential. Requirements

  • Maintain a smoke-free environment.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation, clean driving record, and valid driver's license.
  • Up to date on recommended vaccinations in line with American Academy of Pediatrics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines (subject to legal accommodations).
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain functional, sustainable, and adaptable household organization systems.
  • Declutter and organize toys, gear, and outgrown items; coordinate seasonal clothing, décor, and bedding swaps.
  • Manage donation drop-offs and coordinate sales of items via Facebook Marketplace.
  • Monitor and address minor home maintenance needs.
  • Proactively identify household maintenance issues and manage resolution, including vendor research, quotes, scheduling, and oversight.
  • Coordinate and oversee cleaners, contractors, and other service providers.
  • Research and vet a deep cleaning service for the home.
  • Support seasonal property maintenance.
  • Manage the family calendar, including kids' activities, appointments, and household schedules.
  • Research and present options for kids' activities, classes, and programs.
  • Handle mail and packages, establishing a sustainable sorting and organization system.
  • Break down boxes and handle recycling runs.
  • Research, plan, and book travel, including coordinating packing and unpacking.
  • Collaborate on weekly meal planning.
  • Batch prep proteins, vegetables, snacks, and ingredients to simplify cooking.
  • Prep grab-and-go lunches for parents.
  • Source groceries in-store or online.
  • Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness.
  • Provide child supervision during meal prep times.
  • Occasional school pickups or transportation to after-school activities.
  • Provide light childcare backup as needed.
  • Monitor and restock household supplies (pantry, refrigerator, paper goods, cleaning products).
  • Manage running supply lists and coordinate proactive restocking.
  • Coordinate returns, online orders, and household subscriptions.
  • Handle gift shopping and miscellaneous errands.
  • Fill up family vehicles with gas as needed.
  • Coordinate car cleaning and interior organization.
  • Track vehicle registration and insurance, managing renewals and appointments.
