About The Position

We are a family of four who value connection and strive to create a calm, welcoming home environment. Life in our home is full, active, and ever-evolving, from busy school days and extracurriculars to the joyful chaos that comes with a full house of animals. Alongside our two active, sports-loving kids, we have two sweet dogs, two guinea pigs, and a turtle who happily keeps to himself. It’s a lively mix, and we truly enjoy the balance of staying busy while also being intentional about slowing down and spending quality time together. Our days are a blend of work, activities, and home life, and we take pride in maintaining a space that feels organized, comfortable, and supportive for everyone in it. We recently transitioned into a our new home and are still in the process of thoughtfully settling in, creating systems, and making the space feel like “home.” Between home organization and inventory, meal prep, and staying on top of laundry and linens, having the right support in place is incredibly important to us. We are looking for someone who can step in as a trusted partner in managing the home. Someone who brings a positive, grounded presence, takes pride in their work, and genuinely enjoys helping a household run smoothly. We are hoping to find someone who will grow with our family, become a steady and reliable presence, and take ownership in a way that allows us to focus more on family time and less on the day-to-day logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Household Organization & Maintenance
  • Create and maintain household organization systems (closets, pantry, mudroom, toys)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily, prepping for cleaning services (2x per month)
  • Awareness of household schedules and Skylight calendar
  • Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, etc.)
  • Prepare for family events, holidays, and guest stays
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs and pick-ups
  • Support packing/unpacking for travel or seasonal transitions
  • Supervise or coordinate with service providers/vendors (handymen, cleaners, landscapers, pool cleaner, etc.)
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas
  • Maintain indoor plants
  • Inventory & Errands
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household supplies
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate, manage and unpack household orders (Amazon, Costco, Instacart, etc.)
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Handle package pickup, mail sorting, and deliveries
  • Meal Support
  • Plan and prep healthy, kid-friendly meals/snacks for the whole family (3-4 dinners per week)
  • Prep grab + go breakfast & lunch daily
  • Pack school lunches
  • Shop for groceries,
  • Shop at local farmer’s markets for seafood and other speciality items
  • Follow dietary needs and preferences (gluten-free, dairy-free parent)
  • Clean the kitchen post-prep and maintain kitchen tidiness
  • Laundry & Linens
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Manage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, restock essentials
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked with supplies
  • Handle special care for delicates or uniforms
  • Pet Care
  • Feed and walk dogs; manage care for other pets as needed
  • Prep guinea pig food (chopped fresh veggies in mason jars)
  • Coordinate grooming appointments for the dogs (every 8 weeks)
  • Take the dogs to the mobile groomer down the street as needed
  • Manage Farmer’s Dog subscription: unpacking, prepping
  • Keep pet supplies stocked and organized
  • Vehicle Management
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance (oil changes, inspections, etc.)
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned and organized
  • Track registration and service schedules
  • Vendor & Property Oversight
  • Awareness of vendor appointments and schedules (landscaper, pool service, dog cleanup service)
  • Research and coordinate repairs, maintenance, and quotes
  • Manage routine upkeep across one or multiple properties
  • Oversee routine upkeep across the property and outdoor spaces (pool deck, seasonal maintenance)
  • Family Support & Child Assistance
  • Assist with occasional school/activity pick-ups or drop-offs
  • Provide light supervision as needed
  • Help with child-related laundry or errands
  • Deep Cleaning & Special Projects
  • Tackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards, etc.)
  • Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, mudroom, gym)
  • Organize special projects: toy storage, seasonal decorations, gear rotation
  • Administrative & Personal Assistant Support
  • Awareness of family calendars and reminders
  • Handle receipt tracking for expenses incurred as house manager
  • Assist with coordination of events, appointments, and guest prep
