House Manager & Family Assistant

Sage HausSpringfield Township, PA
Onsite

About The Position

We are an active, warm family with four children (ages 9, 9, 6, and 2) seeking a highly organized, proactive House Manager to support our home Monday–Thursday afternoons (some weekend hours a plus!). This is a true hybrid role, with some days focused on after-school childcare, other days on household support. We are hoping to find someone who can be part of our family. Our household is always buzzing with activity as our kids are involved in a wide variety of sports, extracurricular activities, and social events. With no extended family nearby, we rely on a close-knit group of babysitters and outside help, but we are looking for someone who can bridge the gap and bring consistency, structure, and ease to our day-to-day operations. Because our family is often on the go, we value someone who is collaborative and takes a proactive approach in managing the household. We need someone who can step into a busy environment, help manage the moving parts, and support our family in maintaining a smooth, organized, and calm household. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can walk into a busy household and immediately assess what needs to be done. This person will naturally take the lead in a way that feels seamless to the family, without needing constant direction. You’re someone who is observant, steps in where necessary, and can manage a variety of tasks with ease. The ideal candidate will have a positive, patient, and kind demeanor, with the ability to enforce boundaries in a calm and consistent manner when necessary. You should be comfortable with both the structure of a busy family’s schedule and the flexibility required when things don't go as planned. Being a teammate is essential—this role involves working closely with the stay-at-home parent to balance the needs of the children and the household. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative without being asked, offering support when needed and helping to keep the home running smoothly, from managing daily tasks to stepping in with childcare as needed. You’ll help create a sense of calm and organization amidst the constant activity, ensuring that all responsibilities—whether childcare, household upkeep, or coordination—are handled with care and efficiency. Your warm, professional approach will make you an integral part of the family, someone who can be trusted to manage responsibilities independently while remaining attuned to the family’s needs. Above all, you should enjoy working in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, where no two days are the same. We’re hoping to find someone who will feel like part of the family and will enjoy the opportunity to grow with us as we navigate the busy seasons of life.
