About The Position

This is a part-time House Manager & Family Assistant role requiring 15-20 hours per week, with 2-3 daytime shifts flexible Monday-Friday. The position is located in Craig, CO. The ideal candidate will help create ease, organization, and support in the day-to-day life of a busy physician. The role involves maintaining a smoke-free environment, managing household organization systems, assisting with meal preparation and grocery shopping, providing administrative and personal assistant support, basic pet care for a dog, and overseeing household maintenance and vendors. The family is looking for someone proactive, self-directed, organized, adaptable, and who genuinely enjoys creating a calm, organized, and well-cared-for home. A love for dogs is essential as a dog will be present during working hours. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for personal transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, fold, and put away all laundry, including steaming and caring for special garments, and weekly rotation of bedding and towels. Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked.
  • Create and maintain household organization systems, prioritizing the primary closet, pantry, and kitchen. Set up a travel staging and packing area, organize outdoor and sporting gear, perform daily resets, and light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas).
  • Manage seasonal swaps for clothing, décor, and bedding. Coordinate donation drop-offs and junk removal. Provide indoor plant care and replace household consumables like batteries and light bulbs.
  • Restock pantry, fridge, and household supplies. Manage supply lists and subscriptions. Handle returns, dry cleaning pickup, gift shopping and shipping, mail and package handling, and box disposal.
  • Perform light meal prep, including washing and chopping produce, preparing healthy snacks, and ready-to-assemble meals. Conduct grocery shopping and support meal planning while observing dietary needs (tree nut allergy; whole food, low-processed preferences). Ensure kitchen clean-up and general maintenance.
  • Assist with calendar management and big-picture scheduling. Handle travel planning, packing prep, unpacking support, and home check-ins during travel periods.
  • Coordinate appointments and support logistics for occasional small women physicians retreats.
  • Provide dog walking as needed, schedule vet and grooming appointments, and maintain pet supplies.
  • Perform occasional deep cleans of the fridge, oven, and baseboards. Refresh garage, mudroom, and entry areas. Assist with identifying and coordinating a recurring deep cleaning service.
  • Schedule regular maintenance and oil changes for the family vehicle, ensuring calendar awareness.
  • Oversee cleaners and landscapers. Coordinate contractor access during planned renovations. Research and coordinate repairs, quotes, and seasonal maintenance. Manage outdoor spaces, including patio setup for guests.
