We are a warm and busy family of five, with three kids (ages 14, 11, and 9) and three cats. Our home is filled with energy, as we juggle school, sports, and activities, and we are looking for someone who can help us keep everything running smoothly. With a focus on maintaining a home so that our family can relax and enjoy time together, we need someone who is detail-oriented and able to take charge of the daily household tasks that keep things on track. The kids are in school during the day, which offers a window of time for you to manage essential tasks like a daily reset, laundry, meal prep, running errands, and maintaining an overall tidy environment. We are looking for someone who thrives in a structured, busy environment and can seamlessly integrate into our home. Trust, reliability, and efficiency are key, and we want someone who will follow directions and take ownership of tasks independently. We truly value open communication and a positive, collaborative approach, so we want someone who feels comfortable working autonomously but also knows when to check in and ask questions if needed. You will play an essential role in keeping our household running smoothly, and we are excited to find someone who takes genuine pride in their work while bringing a warm, professional presence to our home. We are looking for a dependable, self-sufficient, and super tidy individual to take on the core responsibilities that make our home run smoothly. Your main focuses will be laundry and folding, maintaining a daily reset in the house, running errands, and assisting with meal prep (chopping, cutting, and prepping ingredients). You will take pride in making sure the house remains tidy and that daily tasks are consistently completed to a high standard. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to follow a list of tasks with confidence, ensuring everything is taken care of efficiently. While the role is centered around following clear instructions, we are looking for someone who brings a proactive and thoughtful approach, ensuring tasks are completed with care and a positive attitude, making our home run as smoothly as possible. You should have a professional demeanor, with a positive and upbeat attitude that will blend well with our busy household dynamic. We need someone who is comfortable working independently, can anticipate our needs, and is always ready to pitch in when necessary. Most importantly, you should be someone we can trust, whether that’s looking after the cats when we’re away, managing grocery runs, or ensuring the house is ready for the day.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation required (mileage reimbursement available for errands)

Responsibilities

  • Wash, dry, fold, organize and put away family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Manage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, restock essentials
  • Keep laundry areas tidy
  • Handle special care for delicates or uniforms
  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness, ensure home is prepped for cleaning services
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas
  • Refreshing bedrooms: making beds, tidying rooms, open curtains (4 rooms, daily)
  • Occasionally conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, etc.)
  • Occasionally prepare for family events, holidays, and guest stays
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups
  • Maintain indoor plants
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, child-related errands
  • Prep healthy meals/snacks for adults and kids
  • Prep weekly meals (2x weekly)
  • Occasionally shop for groceries and meal-related items
  • Clean kitchen post-prep and manage kitchen tidiness
  • Occasional cat sitting; feed them 2x daily
  • Tackle occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards, etc.)
  • Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, mudroom)
  • Organize special projects: toy storage, seasonal decorations, gear rotation
  • Handle basic budgeting or receipt tracking for expenses incurred as house manager
  • Assist with coordination of events, appointments, and guest prep
