About The Position

The House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas and equipment, delivering items to guestrooms, and supporting guest requests. This part-time position is scheduled two days per week from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The current schedule is Sunday and Monday, though it may change. The position is scheduled on weekends and holidays. The role is at Grand Bohemian Lodge in downtown Greenville, South Carolina.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with employees and guests at all levels in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.

Responsibilities

• Buff marble floors daily according to hotel standards.
• Shampoo carpets in public areas according to hotel standards.
• Shampoo furniture as needed.
• Handle luggage-assistance requests in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Handle lost-and-found items according to hotel standards.
• Clean guestrooms as needed.
• Know and assist with emergency procedures.
• Maintain hotel equipment in proper working order.
• Store hotel equipment in the proper area.
• Complete special projects assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Deliver items to guestrooms, such as express checkout materials and newspapers where applicable.
