About The Position

The Hourly Team Member role at a franchised McAlister’s Deli location may encompass a range of responsibilities depending on the team member’s interests. Possible duties include food running, bussing, dishwashing, food preparation, and line cooking. Team members help serve guests, maintain clean and sanitary dining and kitchen areas, prepare food, and follow food quality, health, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to guests in the dining room, provide drink refills, and respond to guest requests after food is delivered.
• Prepare dining areas by cleaning tables and chairs; clear completed plates and attend to spills and other guest needs.
• Clean dining and kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash, and cleaning spills.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and flatware; clean and restock the dish area and kitchen for the next shift.
• Unload and store deliveries as needed, take out trash, and rinse garbage cans.
• Prepare foods according to prep lists and manager directions, recipe cards, and production and portion standards.
• Clean and sanitize stations at the beginning and end of shifts, including light dishwashing when needed.
• Maintain food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils; read food orders or follow verbal instructions and prepare orders quickly and accurately.
• Clean and restock stations at the beginning and end of shifts, prep additional items as necessary, and ensure prepared food meets quality and quantity requirements.
• Adhere to sanitation, health, and safety policies and standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management or a manager.
