About The Position

The Hourly Team Member role at a franchised McAlister’s Deli location may encompass food runner, busser, dishwasher, prep cook, or line cook responsibilities, depending on the team member’s interests. Duties vary by role and include guest service, dining-room upkeep, dishwashing, food preparation, cooking, restocking, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to guests in the dining room, ensure they have what they need, refill drinks, and respond to requests after food is delivered.
• Prepare the dining room by cleaning tables and chairs; remove plates as guests finish; attend to spills and other guest needs; sweep floors, remove trash, and clean spills.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and flatware; clean and restock the dish area and kitchen for the next shift; unload and store deliveries as needed; sweep and mop floors; take out trash and rinse garbage cans.
• Prepare foods for cooking according to prep lists and manager directions, using recipe cards and production and portion standards to ensure consistent quality.
• Maintain food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils; read food orders or receive verbal instructions and prepare orders quickly and accurately.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock stations at the beginning and end of shifts, prep additional items as needed, and perform light dishwashing when required.
• Ensure prepared food meets quality and quantity requirements.
• Follow sanitation, health, and safety policies to protect the establishment, guests, and team members.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
