About The Position

The Hourly Team Member role at a franchised McAlister’s Deli location may include food runner, busser, dishwasher, prep cook, or line cook duties, depending on the team member’s interests. Responsibilities vary by assignment and include guest service, food preparation, dishwashing, dining-room and kitchen cleaning, restocking, and following sanitation and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to dining-room guests, ensure they have what they need, refill drinks, and respond to requests after food is delivered.
• Prepare dining-room tables and chairs for guests; clear completed plates; attend to spills and other guest needs; clean tables and chairs, sweep floors, remove trash, and clean spills.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and flatware; clean and restock the dish area and kitchen for the next shift; unload and store deliveries as needed; sweep and mop floors; take out trash and rinse garbage cans.
• Prepare foods for cooking according to prep lists and manager directions; follow recipe cards and production and portion standards; clean and sanitize the station at the beginning and end of shifts, including light dishwashing when needed.
• Maintain food-preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils; follow sanitation, health, and safety standards; read food orders or follow verbal instructions and prepare orders quickly and accurately; clean and restock the station at the beginning and end of shifts and prepare additional items as needed; ensure prepared food meets quality and quantity requirements.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety policies to protect the establishment and guests.
• Perform other duties as requested by management or a manager.
