About The Position

Maintains and repairs the physical structures of hotel buildings and maintains the grounds. The position also supports guest satisfaction by responding promptly and efficiently to maintenance concerns and coordinating with other departments on guest service and repair requests. The employee follows Kinseth Hotel Corporation (KHC) policies and property-specific guidelines, including dress code, safety, and performance standards. Employees are expected to maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled. Proper safety precautions must be followed while performing job duties.

Requirements

Follow proper safety precautions at all times.
Ability to regularly stand and walk and use hands to handle, grasp, or type.
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or twist; talk or hear; and push, pull, or lift over 10 pounds.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to occasionally sit and smell.
Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Clean internal hotel areas, including storage and boiler rooms, parking lots, public areas, banquet rooms, and guest rooms; perform tasks such as buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and consolidating trash.
Maintain and repair building plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective switches, fuses, faucets, and valves.
Replace worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment, including vehicles, vacuum cleaners, and riding mowers.
Monitor hotel swimming pools and adjust sanitation and chemical usage as needed.
Maintain grounds by cutting grass, trimming weeds, constructing decorative flower garden borders, digging flower beds, and planting flowers.
Repair parking lots and sidewalks using asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
Operate snow removal equipment to keep parking lots and sidewalks clear of obstacles.
Repair, paint, or replace interior walls, trim, and building materials such as wood, brick, stone, and concrete.
Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
Greet guests warmly and address maintenance concerns quickly and efficiently.
Work with other departments to respond promptly to guest service and repair requests.
Help secure the property, including vehicles, tools, furniture, supplies, key cards, and guests.
Use materials, chemicals, and tools safely to prevent waste, damage, and accidents.
Participate in property safety and preventative maintenance programs to maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment.
Set up, tear down, and clean banquet and meeting rooms as assigned.
Run errands and drive as necessary to meet business needs.
Follow KHC policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and performance standards, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.
