About The Position

Maintains and repairs the physical structures of hotel buildings and maintains the grounds. The role also supports guest satisfaction by responding promptly to maintenance concerns and coordinating with other departments to address service and repair requests. A valid driver license is required; the employee will drive a shuttle van as needed and run other errands and drives as necessary to meet business needs. The employee follows Kinseth Hotel Corporation policies and property-specific guidelines, including dress code, safety, and performance standards, maintains a professional image, and reports to work as scheduled. The role involves regular safety precautions and participation in property safety and preventive maintenance programs.

Requirements

Valid driver license.
Ability to perform the described physical demands, including frequently lifting or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 pounds.
Ability to regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle, grasp, or type.
Ability to frequently reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend or twist, talk or hear, and push or pull.
Required vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Clean hotel storage and boiler rooms, parking lots, public areas, banquet rooms, and guest rooms, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing windows, emptying trash, and consolidating trash for weekly pickup.
Maintain and repair building plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective switches, fuses, faucets, and valves.
Replace worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts in vehicles and equipment, including vacuum cleaners and riding mowers.
Monitor hotel swimming pools and adjust them to maintain proper sanitation and chemical usage.
Cut grass, trim weeds, construct decorative flower garden borders, dig flower beds, and plant flowers on the property.
Repair parking lots and sidewalks using asphalt, cold-patching materials, and concrete.
Operate snow-removal equipment to keep parking lots and sidewalks clear of obstacles.
Repair, paint, or replace building interior walls and trim, and wood, brick, stone, and concrete features.
Help other departments move furniture and unload and store supplies.
Greet guests warmly and address maintenance concerns quickly and efficiently to support guest satisfaction.
Work with other departments to respond promptly to guest service and repair requests.
Help secure the property, including its vehicles, tools, furniture, supplies, key cards, and guests.
Use materials, chemicals, and tools safely to prevent waste, damage, or accidents.
Participate in property safety and preventive maintenance programs to maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment.
Set up, tear down, and clean banquet and meeting rooms as assigned.
Run errands and drive as needed to meet business needs, including driving a shuttle van as needed.
Follow company and property policies and guidelines, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.
