About The Position

Maintains and repairs the physical structures and grounds of the hotel. The role includes cleaning hotel areas, maintaining building systems and equipment, monitoring pool sanitation, landscaping, repairing parking lots and sidewalks, and operating snow-removal equipment. The employee also assists with moving and storing supplies, responds to guest maintenance concerns, supports property security and safety programs, and helps set up and clean banquet and meeting rooms. A valid driver license is required; the employee will drive a shuttle van and run errands as needed. Employees are expected to follow company and property policies, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.

Requirements

Valid driver license.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including regularly standing and walking; frequently reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending or twisting, and pushing, pulling, or lifting over 10 pounds.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Clean internal hotel areas, including storage and boiler rooms, parking lots, public areas, banquet rooms, and guest rooms; perform tasks such as buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and handling trash.
Maintain and repair building plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts.
Replace worn or damaged parts in machines and equipment, including vehicles, vacuum cleaners, and riding mowers.
Monitor hotel swimming pools and adjust sanitation and chemical usage as needed.
Maintain hotel grounds by cutting grass, trimming weeds, constructing flower-garden borders, digging flower beds, and planting flowers.
Repair parking lots and sidewalks using asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
Operate snow-removal equipment to keep parking lots and sidewalks clear.
Repair, paint, or replace interior walls and trim made of wood, brick, stone, or concrete.
Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
Greet guests warmly and address maintenance concerns promptly and efficiently.
Work with other departments to respond promptly to guest service and repair requests.
Help secure the property, including vehicles, tools, furniture, supplies, key cards, and guests.
Use materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid waste, damage, and accidents.
Participate in property safety and preventive-maintenance programs.
Set up, tear down, and clean banquet and meeting rooms as assigned.
Run errands and drive as needed to meet business needs, including driving the shuttle van as needed.
Follow company handbook policies and property-specific guidelines, including dress, safety, and performance standards; maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
