About The Position

As a Hotel Maintenance/ Mechanic II, you perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment and to ensure a safe and functional environment for the Hotel guests! You will be responsible for handling the general maintenance and repairs in the entire hotel including guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas, kitchens, hotel perimeters & heart of house. In addition you will perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment; as well as HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing where possible. You will be responsible for, and be proactive in, reporting deficiencies and areas needing repair according to hotel reporting procedures. You will complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis. Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment and take immediate corrective action where possible. Assist guests regarding property facilities whenever possible.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in areas like plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
  • Passion for delivering personalized customer service and a strong commitment to creating the desired guest experience for all.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • An ability to work under pressure while maintaining a sense of poise and professionalism.
  • A positive, can-do, team player attitude.
  • A strong desire to support and assist your department and other hotel colleagues, and help them navigate and overcome roadblocks and obstacles.
  • A desire to learn and grow and a fast paced, chic, exciting environment!

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification a plus.
  • Strong technical skills encouraged.

Responsibilities
