The Hotel Maintenance/Mechanic II performs highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe and functional environment for hotel guests.

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills encouraged.
  • Knowledge in areas like plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
  • Passion for delivering personalized customer service and a strong commitment to creating the desired guest experience for all.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • An ability to work under pressure while maintaining a sense of poise and professionalism.
  • A positive, can-do, team player attitude.
  • A strong desire to support and assist your department and other hotel colleagues, and help them navigate and overcome roadblocks and obstacles.
  • A desire to learn and grow and a fast paced, chic, exciting environment!

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Handling the general maintenance and repairs in the entire hotel including guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas, kitchens, hotel perimeters & heart of house.
  • Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment; as well as HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing where possible.
  • Be responsible for, and be proactive in, reporting deficiencies and areas needing repair according to hotel reporting procedures.
  • Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis.
  • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment and take immediate corrective action where possible.
  • Assist guests regarding property facilities whenever possible.
