About The Position

Tru by Hilton Port St. Lucie is hiring a reliable, skilled maintenance professional to help keep the hotel operating smoothly and safely and maintain its appearance for guests. The role involves varied, hands-on maintenance work throughout the property, responding to guest and staff requests, and helping ensure the hotel remains safe, clean, and guest-ready. The position includes steady hours, a supportive team environment, and on-call coverage for emergencies, with guaranteed minimum pay if called in.

Requirements

Hands-on experience in hotel or building maintenance is preferred.
Skills in carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical, and mechanical repairs.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors as needed.
Professional and reliable, with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Nice To Haves

HVAC, refrigeration, or heating system experience.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment, guest rooms, and common areas.
Perform carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical, HVAC, and mechanical repairs.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
Repair furniture, walls, tile, fixtures, lighting, and appliances.
Maintain heating and air conditioning systems, including filters, controls, and inspections.
Complete daily checklists and walkthroughs with management.
Keep tools, workspaces, and logs organized and up to date.
Be on call for emergency situations.
Follow safety, fire, and emergency procedures.
Support brand and franchise maintenance programs.
Help keep the property safe, clean, and guest-ready.
