About The Position

The Lobby Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public areas, restrooms, and back-of-house areas. This role ensures a clean and safe environment for guests and staff, responding to requests and identifying maintenance needs.

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience or other relevant environmental services experience is preferred.
  • Able to communicate via radio and phone as needed.
  • Ability to read and write basic English.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and demanding work environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and guests.
  • Able to understand and follow all safety-related procedures while performing all tasks.
  • Ability to work with chemical cleaners and disinfectants.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards is essential.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Able to work varied shifts, including Weekdays, Evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Regularly requires standing and walking for an entire shift.
  • Perform repetitive motions, bending, stretching, reaching, stooping.
  • Pushing up to 20-30 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and services assigned hotel public areas, including employee areas, in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and standards.
  • Cleans floor surfaces in public or employee spaces using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Dusts surfaces in assigned areas.
  • Empties trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers.
  • Inspects the condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and reports damages.
  • Cleans and maintains lights.
  • Posts caution signs to limit traffic when necessary.
  • Contacts other departments directly for urgent repairs.
  • Responds promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
  • Manages guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely, ensuring follow-up to maintain high guest satisfaction.
  • Negotiates compromise in cases of guest dissatisfaction according to "Make it Right" guidelines.
  • Identifies and reports preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
  • Follows proper hotel safety policies and procedures and uses safety equipment as needed.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
  • Ensures work area is clean and clear of hazards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
