About The Position

Washes, dries, folds, stores, inventories, and distributes hotel bed and table linen, towels, and uniforms. The role also includes maintaining an orderly linen room, following safe chemical and equipment practices, and providing friendly service to guests. Employees must follow company and property-specific policies and standards, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled. The employee may also be required to clean guestrooms, bathrooms, and public areas.

Requirements

• Ability to perform the listed essential duties and follow company and property-specific policies and standards.
• Ability to stand; use hands to handle, grasp, or type; reach; stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or twist; and push, pull, or lift over 10 pounds.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally walk, climb or balance, talk or hear, and smell.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Collect, segregate, count, and record soiled linens and uniforms for repair or laundry, and place items in containers.
• Wash, dry, and fold hotel linens.
• Use chemicals and tools according to provided instructions to prevent injury, accidents, damage, or waste.
• Examine laundered items for cleanliness and serviceability.
• Stamp items with identifying marks.
• Verify and store laundered items on shelves.
• Count and assemble items on carts or linen trucks, record quantities for requisitions, and transport carts to floors.
• Conduct inventories to identify items for replacement.
• Keep the linen room clean and orderly.
• As needed, clean guestrooms, bathrooms, and public areas, including making beds, cleaning, dusting, removing trash, replenishing supplies, and vacuuming.
• Follow key control policies to ensure guest security.
• Greet guests warmly and in a friendly manner to support guest satisfaction.
• Follow company handbook policies and property-specific guidelines and standards, including dress code, safety, and performance standards.
• Maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
• Follow proper safety precautions to avoid injuries.
