About The Position

The Hotel Laundry employee washes, dries, folds, stores, inventories, and distributes hotel linens, towels, and uniforms. The role also includes maintaining an orderly linen room, following safe-use instructions for chemicals and tools, and potentially assisting with guestroom and public-area cleaning. Employees must follow KHC and property-specific policies, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.

Requirements

• Ability to perform the listed physical duties, including regularly standing; handling, grasping, or typing; reaching; stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, or twisting; and pushing, pulling, or lifting over 10 pounds.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to follow safety precautions and instructions for using chemicals and tools.

Responsibilities

• Collect, segregate, count, and record soiled hotel linens and uniforms for repair or laundering, and place them in containers.
• Wash, dry, and fold hotel linens.
• Use chemicals and tools according to instructions to prevent injury, accidents, damage, or waste.
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and serviceability.
• Stamp items with identifying marks and store them on shelves after verifying their quantities and types.
• Count and assemble laundered items on carts or linen trucks, record amounts needed to fill requisitions, and transport carts to floors.
• Conduct inventories to identify items for replacement.
• Keep the linen room clean and orderly.
• When required, clean guestrooms, bathrooms, and public areas, including making beds, cleaning, dusting, removing trash, replenishing supplies, and vacuuming.
• Follow guest key-control policies to help ensure guest security.
• Greet guests warmly and in a friendly manner to support guest satisfaction.
• Follow KHC policies and property-specific guidelines and standards, including dress, safety, and performance standards.
• Maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
• Follow proper safety precautions to avoid injuries.
