About The Position

The Hotel Laundry employee washes, folds, stores, inventories, and distributes hotel bed and table linens, towels, and uniforms. The role may also include cleaning guestrooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to property standards. Employees are expected to follow company and property policies, safety practices, and key-control procedures, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.

Requirements

Follow safety precautions and instructions for using chemicals and tools.
Meet the physical demands of the position, including frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds and pushing, pulling, or lifting over 10 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Collect, receive, segregate, count, and record soiled hotel linen and uniforms for repair or laundry, and place items in containers.
Wash, dry, and fold hotel linens.
Use chemicals and tools according to provided instructions to prevent injury, accidents, damage, and waste.
Examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability.
Stamp items with identifying marks.
Verify the numbers and types of items and store laundered items on shelves.
Count and assemble laundered items on carts or linen trucks, record quantities needed to fill requisitions, and transport carts to floors.
Conduct inventories to identify items for replacement.
Keep the linen room clean and orderly.
When required, clean guestrooms, bathrooms, and public areas, including changing and making beds, cleaning, dusting, removing trash, replenishing supplies, and vacuuming.
Follow key-control policies to help ensure guest security.
Greet guests warmly and in a friendly manner to support guest satisfaction.
Follow KHC policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and performance standards, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled.
