About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an energetic, cooperative, and detail-oriented individual to join their kitchen culinary team as a Kitchen Steward. The Kitchen Steward is responsible for dishwashing, sanitation, waste removal, and assisting with basic kitchen support tasks while adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively understand and communicate with staff.
  • Ability to observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines for food handling, cross-contamination protocols, and sanitation.
  • Constant standing, walking, and moving throughout the culinary areas.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Extend arms fully; frequent reaching, twisting, pulling, bending, and stooping.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous stewarding or commercial dishwashing experience in a full-service restaurant, or similar food service environment, preferably with a hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, back-of-house areas, and food service equipment meet luxury cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Operate large commercial dishwasher equipment to wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Hand Scrub pots and pans; Burnish, de-tarnish, and polish silver.
  • Properly handle/store dinnerware, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment.
  • Deep cleaning and preventive maintenance for kitchen and stewarding equipment.
  • Remove trash and food waste according to safety standards
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and supplies are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained.
  • Assist kitchen staff with basic support tasks as needed
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines
  • Report safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
