About The Position

The newly renovated Hampton Inn Neptune is hiring a full-time Hotel Housekeeping Lead! This role is responsible for supervising the work activities of a Houseperson, Housekeeper, Room Attendant, and Laundry Attendant. They are also responsible for inspecting hotel guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobbies to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance are achieved. The lead will also act in place of the Housekeeping Director in their absence. Responsibilities include participating in morning meetings/huddles to discuss departmental expectations and issues, conducting daily property walks with documented inspections of guest rooms and public areas, assigning work to cleaning personnel, and providing thorough training to all housekeeping staff on required duties to meet brand and company standards. The role also involves observing department adherence to policy and procedure, and potentially participating in the employee disciplinary/evaluation process with the Housekeeping Director. Additional duties include examining carpets, drapes, and furniture for issues, checking and counting linens and supplies, recording inspection results, and notifying cleaning personnel of inadequacies. All other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • One-year of previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
  • Previous hotel-related experience desired.
  • Must be available to work long hours, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting hotel guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobbies to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance are achieved.
  • Acting in place of the Housekeeping Director in the event they are absent.
  • Participating in morning meetings/huddles to discuss expectations of the housekeeping department and any issues pertaining to the department.
  • Conducting daily property walks including documented inspection of guest rooms and public areas to be sent to the Housekeeping Director.
  • Assigning work to cleaning personnel.
  • Providing thorough and accurate training of all housekeeping personnel on all required duties to meet brand and company standards.
  • Observing the department in reference to policy and procedure adherence.
  • Potentially participating in the employee disciplinary/evaluation process with the Housekeeping Director.
  • Examining carpets, drapes, and furniture for stains, damage, or wear.
  • Checking and counting linens and supplies.
  • Recording inspection results and notifying cleaning personnel of inadequacies.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
