About The Position

The Hotel House Person performs a range of tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and hotel premises. The position reports to Housekeeping Supervisors, Shift Managers, or the Manager on duty. The role is available part-time or full-time, with variable days, and requires availability to work weekends and holidays. The stated start rate is $15.50 per hour.

Requirements

Ability to reason and react calmly and quickly in an emergency.
Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions.
Ability to operate vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mops, and brooms.
Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and handle chemical fumes and airborne particles on occasion.

Responsibilities

Strip and remove linen, terry, and trash from guest rooms.
Remove soiled linen, terry, trash, glasses, and cups from associate rooms; sweep and mop assigned associate rooms daily.
Clean the guest lobby and vending areas and keep them free of debris and trash.
Document and report items requiring maintenance work orders.
Check mattress pads, comforters, scarves, and pillows for stains or damage; remove items according to policy and notify the appropriate personnel so they can be repaired or replaced.
Return furniture to its original location and turn mattresses.
Assist housekeepers with placing headboards, rollaway beds, and microwaves.
Restock guest amenities and supplies in assigned supply rooms daily or as scheduled.
Monitor assigned floors at the beginning and end of shifts and throughout the day to collect trash and soiled linens.
Report missing or found articles, damage, or merchandise problems to the office, supervisor, or manager.
Retrieve shipments from the shipping and receiving dock and distribute supplies to storage rooms.
Deliver items to assets and the community center.
Perform other assigned tasks.
