About The Position
The Houseperson responds promptly to requests from guests and other departments and identifies and reports preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms. The role performs a combination of tasks to keep guestrooms, working areas, and hotel premises clean and orderly. Duties include receiving linen supplies from floor shoots, maintaining housekeeping carts, removing trash collected by room attendants, and walking assigned floors at the beginning and end of each shift to collect newspaper bags, newspapers, trash, and soiled linen. The Houseperson also picks up clean linen and refills the par stock of linen in each floor pantry.
