About The Position

The Hotel Dining Room Server delivers dining services for events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and other special occasions. The role focuses on providing friendly, professional guest service and presenting food and beverages attractively and efficiently. The server prepares and organizes banquet items, assists with food preparation, serves guests, attends to requests, and clears and resets tables. The work takes place in a fast-paced environment with moderate to high noise levels. Evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required.

Requirements

• Ability to handle, carry, or lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Previous experience in banquet serving or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and pre-set non-entree banquet items, including coffee, bread, butter, and condiments.
• Assist with food preparation as needed while following safety and hygiene standards.
• Serve food and beverages to banquet and meeting-break guests in a friendly, professional manner and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Garnish and decorate dishes before serving.
• Observe guests for additional requests and to determine when their meals are complete.
• Clear and reset tables and properly store banquet items at the end of each course or banquet.
• Supply meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water and replenish them as needed.
• Provide assistance and directions to guests when necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
