About The Position

The Dining Room Server delivers dining services for events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and other special occasions. The role provides high-quality guest service and ensures food and beverages are presented attractively and served efficiently. Duties include preparing banquet items, assisting with food preparation, serving guests, maintaining meeting-room supplies, and clearing and resetting tables. The position is based at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Latham, New York.

Requirements

• Ability to handle, carry, or lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and preset non-entree banquet items, including coffee, bread, butter, and condiments.
• Assist with food preparation as needed while following safety and hygiene standards.
• Serve food and beverages to banquet and meeting-break guests in a friendly, professional manner and support guest satisfaction.
• Garnish and decorate dishes before serving.
• Observe guests to identify additional requests and determine when meals are complete.
• Clear and reset tables and properly store banquet items after each course or banquet.
• Replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
• Provide guests with assistance and directions when necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
