About The Position

Hosts/Hostesses are the first point of contact for guests and help set the tone for their experience. They greet guests warmly, manage reservations and seating, and support smooth service in a dynamic, high-energy restaurant environment. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, responding to guest needs, and maintaining a polished and welcoming entrance and host stand. Duties, tasks, schedules, and requirements may change based on guest requests or the needs of the hotel. The job description does not create a promise of employment or an employment contract.

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of experience as a Host/Hostess in an upscale or high-volume restaurant.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to multitask.
• Professional, polished, and confident presence.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and reliable work ethic.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand for the duration of shifts and lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins using OpenTable or SevenRooms, anticipating guest needs such as allergies or special requests.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and introduce guests to their server.
• Maintain the pristine appearance of the host stand and entrance area.
• Answer phone calls with excellent etiquette and manage inquiries and reservations.
