About The Position

As a Hostperson for Blossom at Aria, you will create an elegant first impression by welcoming guests warmly and professionally into a high-end Chinese dining room. You will coordinate the restaurant floor, keep the entrance organized, and work with servers, bussers, and runners to manage table flow and provide seamless hospitality.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of relevant Hostperson experience in fine dining or a similar upscale restaurant.
• Bilingual ability in Mandarin or Cantonese.
• Previous experience with SevenRooms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Restaurant Reservations regarding special orders, cake orders, and guest requests, and convey this information to management.
• Maintain knowledge of daily activities and in-house groups, house count, table, seat, and station numbers, table setups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range, and dress code.
• Promptly greet guests as they enter the restaurant.
• Answer phones, accurately track reservations, and manage the reservation book.
• Ensure menus have current inserts and replace menus that are in poor condition.
• Communicate guest needs to the kitchen and management, share guest reactions and comments with management, and assist management to support smooth operations and quality service.
• Check in with waiting guests to keep them informed while tables are being prepared.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas; shut down the podium and forward phones to voice-loop at the end of the shift.
