Hostler (CDL) - Foods
About The Position
The Hostler moves trailers between the lot and dock doors, stages loads, and coordinates with warehouse operations to support safe, on-time delivery of PepsiCo products. The role may also involve moving raw-material loads to doors, installing and removing trailer stands, staging pallets, and loading trucks when ready. The position includes maintaining housekeeping and sanitation as needed. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that involves lifting, bending, and moving product through much of the shift. Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license.
- Able to work some weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
- Able to lift 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to sit for up to five hours daily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willing and able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Move trailers from the lot to dock doors and back to the lot as directed.
- Work with a supervisor to move raw-material loads to doors as needed.
- Install and remove trailer stands as necessary.
- Stage pallets and load them into trucks when ready.
- Maintain housekeeping and sanitation as needed.
