About The Position
Lawrence Paper Company is seeking a dedicated and dependable CDL Driver to join its Shipping & Receiving team. The driver transports goods safely and efficiently between building locations and accurately records those moves in the system. A current and valid CDL is required. The role requires working in all weather conditions, getting in and out of trucks throughout the shift, and working efficiently with little supervision.
Requirements
- Must have a current and valid CDL.
- Prior experience in a Yard Truck / Hostler Truck position is required.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to get in and out of trucks throughout the entire shift.
- Safety- and quality-focused.
- Dependable.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision.
- Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Move trailers within the yard, between dock doors, and to different building locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate with dispatch, yard personnel, and supervisors.
- Document moves accurately and efficiently in the AS400 system.
- Recognize and adhere to safety best practices.
- Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
