About The Position

Kiawah Island Club is seeking a Host/Hostess to serve as an ambassador for its mission to be the finest private club in the world. The role focuses on applying empathy to create and maintain members’ loyalty, prioritizing teammates’ needs, and working efficiently in a fast-paced, multifaceted club environment. Service periods include lunch, brunch, and dinner. The position is at The River Room at River Course.

Requirements

Be well groomed and wear clean, pressed, appropriate attire.
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proper phone and email etiquette.
Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude throughout the shift.
Be organized and responsible for the work area.
Obtain TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Experience with reservations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet members as they enter the club for regular dinner service and special parties.
Guide members to their tables and preset tables as needed.
Run for wine during service and maintain inventory.
Organize and maintain the floor plan, and generate the final cover count at the end of each shift.
Answer calls throughout the evening as the primary voice of dinner service.
Communicate with management regarding walk-ins and overflow.
Maintain and curate notes on member preferences.
Check all restrooms and replenish necessary items.
