About The Position
As a Holiday Bar Team Member at Tinsel Tavern, the Host helps bring the spirit of the season to life by wearing festive attire, engaging guests with holiday cheer, and serving as a holiday ambassador. The role includes entertaining guests and being available for photo opportunities, with the goal of ensuring guests leave with a memorable, positive experience. The Host welcomes guests, manages reservations and wait times, coordinates seating, communicates with guests and management, and helps expedite seating when needed. Hosts may occasionally bus tables and anticipate the needs of scheduled special parties.
Requirements
- At least one year of customer service and/or hosting experience.
- Fluent English; other languages are preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with guests, employees, and third parties in a manner that reflects positively on the venue, brand, and company.
- Reading and writing abilities for recording and reviewing reservations and table assignments.
- Ability to read, review, and understand seating charts.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to handle objects, including food and utensils, products, and phones.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Ability to remain at the venue entrance or exit for long periods and safely and efficiently move throughout the facility.

Responsibilities
- Answer phones and take messages and reservations.
- Maintain an accurate wait when necessary.
- Welcome arriving guests and bid guests goodbye as they leave, creating a positive experience.
- Greet guests in a friendly, upbeat manner and smile to support guest satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with guests.
- Communicate problems to management immediately.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to provide fast and courteous service.
- Occasionally bus tables when needed to expedite seating for waiting guests.
- Anticipate the needs of scheduled special parties.
- Wear holiday-themed costumes, entertain guests, spread holiday cheer, and be available for photo opportunities.
