About The Position

Silverstone Living is seeking a Host/Hostess to join its team and interact with residents. The position is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Under the supervision of the Manager on Duty, the Host/Hostess helps create an enjoyable dining experience for residents and guests by supporting dining-room service, supervising service activities, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Requirements

Exceptional customer service skills.
Excellent communication skills, in person and by phone.

Familiarity with health and safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress.
Understanding of fine dining etiquette.
Serve Safe certification.

Responsibilities

Greet and seat residents and guests in a professional, courteous manner.
Supervise dining-room service persons to ensure proper service and sanitation procedures are followed.
Train and supervise staff professionally according to established procedures.
Assist in training new service employees on proper dining-room etiquette.
Handle food according to sanitary procedures and standards.
Pour and provide beverages and assist with service and bussing as needed.
Monitor seating flow, dining-room service, and food availability to support prompt, courteous service.
Discuss unusual problems or requests with the Manager on Duty.
Supervise closing of the Main Dining Room.
Oversee and assist with side work, including cleaning, stocking, and folding silverware.
Occasionally supervise closing the department for the shift.
Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of the immediate work environment.
Attend annual in-service training on body mechanics, right-to-know laws, and fire and safety.
Perform other duties as needed.
