About The Position

The Host Person at Katsuya Brentwood meets, greets, and seats guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. The role manages guest seating and reservation flow to maximize the guest experience, and handles phone calls, reservations, to-go orders, and special requests. The position requires a polished, organized, hospitality-focused person able to multitask and maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must provide documentation showing authorization to work in the United States.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a high-end, service-focused environment.
• Must have an exceptional personality and hospitality-driven attitude.
• Must be polished, professional, friendly, dynamic, and able to multitask.
• Must be highly organized and able to handle numerous tasks at a time.
• Must be able to take initiative in a VIP-driven, guest-service-focused environment.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must maintain a sense of urgency in completing responsibilities and tasks.
• Must secure and maintain any required certificates, licenses, or registrations when required by government agencies.
• ANSI-approved Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service certificate recognized by the ABC.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of experience in a contemporary dining restaurant is preferred.
• Experience taking reservations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Approach guests and collect information needed to assist with seating and bar arrangements.
• Maintain knowledge of the venue floor plan and table numbers, seating the room evenly and consistently according to management instructions.
• Greet all guests warmly.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
• Perform opening, running, and closing side work.
• Answer phones and take, track, and organize reservations, to-go orders, and special requests.
