About The Position

The Host ensures that all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures and in accordance with Omni Standards. The role supports restaurant operations by managing the entrance, communicating with guests and staff, and anticipating guest needs. Hosts must be familiar with the resort’s dining options, property, menu, and daily specials, and maintain a welcoming demeanor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to stand and walk for an extended period or an entire shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Prior host experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist managers with opening and closing.
• Answer phone calls.
• Greet and seat all guests.
• Control heavy volume at the restaurant entrance.
• Clean menus daily.
• Maintain knowledge of the entire resort property.
• Inform guests about dining options.
• Attend to and anticipate guests’ needs.
• Maintain familiarity with the menu and daily specials.
• Introduce the server to the guest.
• Maintain a smile.
