About The Position

The Host/Hostess helps ensure members enjoy their visits to Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club by providing professional, welcoming service, managing the flow of seating, learning and using members’ names, exceeding expectations, and working as part of a team. The role also includes maintaining an organized podium, keeping menus clean, handling calls and reservations, and completing side work at the beginning and end of shifts. The schedule varies and includes weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Must be able to work a flexible, varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
Must arrive at work on time consistently.
Must present a professional and welcoming demeanor and wear the required uniform and name tag.
Must learn appropriate equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Welcome members and guests promptly with a smile and a professional, welcoming demeanor.
Assist members and guests with requests and manage the flow of seating in the dining room.
Maintain an organized podium and keep menus clean.
Complete side work thoroughly at the beginning and end of each shift.
Answer phones professionally and courteously.
Accurately take dining-room and club-event reservations.
Confirm lunch and dinner reservations.
Arrive punctually and consistently on time.
Wear a clean, crisp uniform in good condition, including a name tag.
Learn and follow appropriate equipment and safety procedures.
Learn and use members’ names, exceed their expectations, and contribute as a team player.
Maintain clean hair in a becoming style, subject to management approval.
