About The Position

The Powder Horn Club in Sheridan, Wyoming, is hiring a part-time Host/Hostess for a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property. The role welcomes and escorts guests, manages seating and reservations, supports dining-room operations, and helps maintain service standards and cleanliness. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided. Compensation is $12.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly greeting and escort them to their assigned tables.
• Manage the flow of work by seating guests according to station rotation, maintaining guest lists, and following and enforcing check issue procedures.
• Assign opening and/or closing side duties and supervise side work to ensure station setup lists are completed before service staff depart.
• Maintain the reservation book, answer incoming telephone calls, and record reservations and guest requests.
• Remain knowledgeable about menu items, prices, and general service procedures.
• Maintain standards of appearance and cleanliness in service areas.
• Remain visible and accessible to guests, staff, and management on the dining-room floor.
• Check table settings before service each day.
• Assist with side work and support service staff by bussing tables and taking cocktail orders.
• Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
• Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
